Free range turkey

Hi folks

I'm after a good sized free-range turkey for Christmas dinner. About 6.5-7 kg. Happy to collect from local supermarkets (Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, Somerfield, Morrisons, M&S) or order online. Does anyone have somewhere they can recommend?

Was in Tesco yesterday but couldn't see any leaflets about turkeys there - not sure if they do it or not. Somerfield's are too small!

If you want a decent free-range turkey, why not order one from a local farm instead of getting one from a supermarket?

Thanks Janet - I'm quite happy to do that, just not sure where to go! Wondered whether anyone has any particular farms to recommend? My first time hosting all the family for Christmas, so want to do it properly!

Good thinking Jayjay! I Live in Liverpool but work in Widnes, so the Merseyside/Cheshire area really.

You're not really too far from me, I live in South Cheshire, and I always get my Christmas turkey from Wheelock Hall Farm between Crewe & Sandbach. It's a bit out of your way, but worth it! Let me know if you need any more information about the farm.
