Hi,
If you want to be Mortgage Free and are doing something about it you are in the right place. Mostly here though you will see people are overpaying to be MF in x years, by how fast they want to pay it off, by the time they are xx years old or they have a more general aim to reduce their mortgage by xx amount and be MF early.
I am aiming to be Mortgage Free in 6 years time which will be 11 years ahead of the original term saving us about £26,000 in interest. Strictly speaking I am here as a MF Wannabe. We are mid house sale/purchase so we haven't stated paying the mortgage but we will be overpaying it from day one using an offset mortgage.
I make use of all sections of the site because a mortgage is a debt like any other. No longer half of Optimisticpair
