Thank you for the info., something i'm not sure of . can i use the stick on my notebook which is running xp with usb ports 2. The stick is to increase the memory on my desktop running 98 with 64m of memory without having to upgrade.any how your info is much appreciated.

You should be able to use it on your XP machine. As to the original reason for buying it... that's a no go :-( this will only act as a removable disk and will not add memory to you computer for that you will need to upgrade.
