Hi New_start_si
I am not 100% sure but 99.9% that they do ask where you lived in the last 12 months if not been at the address on the form you are registering with
Hope that helps in some way£2.00 savings club =£2.000 -

Yes they do! I just bought and moved in to a new property and when I was sent the form to fill in I had to detail last address where I was registered. To vote? my a** - it's big brother wanting to keep tabs on where we all are. It always makes me laugh when it says it to ensure you don't lose your right to vote :rotfl:~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
Perhaps they want to make sure you get any over paid council tax back from your previous Local Council.
The tax is paid at 10% per month for 10 months and 0% for two months so there is a sense in which we should all get a rebate if we move................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
Get back overpaid council tax?
Since when has registering on the electoral roll got you any tax back? I suspect that it is much more likely to be any underpaid tax reclaimed...

I've never had to put my previous address on any electoral register form, and I've moved a lot. Maybe the north is more liberal

oh, and I've never had any probs claiming back any council tax due back either.0 -
i've contacted the council via the phone and i should recieve the form on friday. The only thing i'm worried about is that I was last registered as living in an army baracks 5 years ago! i'm not even sure if forces personal get a vote?0

OMG can you imagine if you weren't able to vote as a member of the armed forces?!!
This has got me thinking now...surely you can vote...can you imagine if you couldn't????"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0 -

I live In Northern Ireland and the situation here is a bit different .Each person has to fill in there own electrol form , and include date of birth and National Insurance number and sign it personaly.Thousands off people (including me )stopped filling them in .Big Brother was looking to much info .Last week I received a new form with a letter addressed to the occupier saying it was Illlegal not to fill it in .I wont fill it in no one has ever been taken to court for not filling in an electrol form .I still change mortgages and banks .They can get there details else where ,they just have to work a bit harder to get it .Did you know the police use the electrol register to see who lives at a particular address ,big brother at it again .0
