Hi guys!
I want to take my mum to see Mamma Mia! to cheer her up a bit, and when looking online through vue you can apply a "movies that matter" discount code.
Anyone know what they are, or where to find one?
I'm not on Orange, so can't get Orange Wednesday code (:() so any discount links or ideas much appreciated !
Thanks guys xxxx

Hi- the movies that matter code is for a series of classic films that have been on on Monday evenings. The last one is on Monday and is The Wizard of Oz, at 6.30. I think if you ask on the freebie cinema DISCUSSION thread, not codes thread, or search for movies that matter you will find the code which gives you 2 for £5 from The Times.
Otherwise if you are in the London or the outskirts eg Chelmsford check out the Frijj fim festival which is free showings other classics on a Thursday. That is at Odeon and perhaps anoter chain but not vue
Another option is to keep checking the free screenings thread in freebies and try to get in on a new film- but I have no Mamma mia suggestions, sorry.
Vue does a 2 for 1 card whcih you could search for- its usually availble as an offer with a mag subscription or a send off offer, but I haven't seen it for a while- except for with a dubbit card. All these ideas have threads about them if you search all forums. Finally, lastminute do reductions on London Vue's to make them more reasonable.0 -
Does anyone know if you need to be an Orange customer to use the Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 cinema deal?0

My Vue cinema does cheaper seats on a Tuesday - not a mega bargain but @ £4.50 a seat every little helps. Ask if yours has a cheap day.0

My daughter is with 3 mobile.
If she wants to do orange wednesday she asks her friend to forward her the text off her orange phone.
She's used it 3 times without any problems.
You'd need to know someone with an orange phone who is willing to apply for the text in the first place, as it uses up phone credit0 -

Thanks guys, I have a 2 for 1 vue card but the films you can use it on are either old (like Hancock which is on there), or childrens films - I keep checking but no sign that mamma mia will be added any time soon.

I bought mine off ebay but you can also get them with the sun bingo they are only valid on certain films which have usually been out for a while so it's not the best deal if you want to go and watch a film that's just come out.0

Do you have the link for the Sun Bingo offer, I can't seem to find reference to the card on the site?
Or anywhere else where I can get these cards (apart from ebay)?
Many thanks.0 -
