                    Hi all,
Just a quick question from me. My wage is due to go up at the end of september by about £100 a month however since I had to hand my lovely lease hire car back, I'm finding my current car more expensive to insure and to run. (It's only a 1.2 engine but my previous car was a group 1 and a 1.0 litre hybrid.) My petrol is costing me about £20 a month more and the car insurance is £15 per month more.My house insurance has gone down by £1.00 a month but I'm finding that with the work I do, £10 per month isn't enough for clothes. Do I ask the OR if I can submit another SOA to take into account this situation before I get my increase (he knows it is coming as I mentioned it to him) or afterwards? I don't want it to look like I'm trying to avoid an IPA as my other half is now looking for work and it's inevitable that when he returns to work, his contribution to the household income will increase and I will end up paying an IPA, but on the other hand my financial situation has changed slightly.
Thanks for your advice

Just ring and say your circumstaces have changed and you feel a new IPOQ would be appropriate. You can but try. Everything to gain, nothing to loose.

Thanks for the replies Jo and Dalip. The OR did say that he appreciated I was being honest with him when I called about a one off payment that was being made to me and I would agree with Jo about Dalip being knowledgeable

Hi December - is your new car essential for work? If so then you should be able to report the new expenses that come with it.

Did you really only budget £10.00 per month for clothes? You can surely have more than that We were allowed £145 for 2 adults and 2 children, so you must surely be allowed about £50.00 per month, especially if in your job you're required to be 'smart' We were allowed £145 for 2 adults and 2 children, so you must surely be allowed about £50.00 per month, especially if in your job you're required to be 'smart' You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Thanks for the advice Scarlett and FYP My car is exempt as I care for elderly relatives, one of whom is housebound. I think I might pluck up the courage to call the OR after all he can only tell me on My car is exempt as I care for elderly relatives, one of whom is housebound.
