I've picked about 8lb of fresh damsons ready for homemade jam. I picked them Wednesday and they've been in the fridge since. Can i freeze them as they are, whole with stones and thaw so that they are ready to use next week or do i need to make jam pronto this weekend??? help!!!

hi there,
I am no expert but i have frozen damsons, complete wiv stones and skins for a while before making jam and it has always turned out fine.
I was also told if using damsons to make damson gin was always best to freeze them first - prob cos flesh breaks down easier or something? not sure! lol
best wishes
