Best deal for appliances

We are in the process of pricing for a new kitchen and I wanted to see if anyone can advise of where is best to deal on new appliances, we need an integrated fridge freezer, built in oven, induction hob, washing machine and cooker hood. We are hoping if we but them from one place we can bargain and try and get a deal, Comet seems to be the most competitve so far but I wanted to see if any knew of good deals locally??

sams yer man are good to bargain with, get the best price for what you want on the internet, then ring them and ask for their best price, I saved a fortune on a fridge and freezer last week by doing this. www.whitebox.co.uk are well priced and free delivery to NI. This weekend would be a good time to buy due to all the "bank holiday offers". I agree that Comet are well priced, pity they won't deliver here
  • Excellent, having a look on his website now, I'm going to ring him tomorrow and see what kind of deal he will do. Thanks a million.

Comet are good, especially if you go to store as they sometimes have managers specials.I just bought a miele dishwasher for £300,with 3 months supply od dishwashing tablets, plus delivery, the men helped me "fit "it to,so long as if anything happened I would not say they helped!!

Why are you considering Comet if they don't deliver to NI?

I know its not local but have you looked online at dixons. I found some great appliance deals with them in the past, plus if you look on sites such as hotukdeals.com you sometimes see 5% discount codes.

  • I was considering Comet at the start as for some reason I imagined they had a store in Belfast, duh, have since found this isn't the case. I rang Sam's this morning and they were very competitive, they matched the best price I had got on the internet for the induction hob, it's the biggie, expensive but I really want it as I reckon energy wise it will pay for it's self and also I cook proper meals every day so will get good mileage out of the hob. Also they gave a good deal on the intregrated fridge freezer so think will probably go with them, I might price around locally in Fermanagh but I can't see them beating Sam's quote. Gonna check out dixon's website now though. Thanks.

Donaghy's in Kilrea and Limavady very competitive and deliver all over NI. Be prepared for them to sometimes try to steer you towards special deals that may not be quite what you wanted - this can work out okay, but if you want a particular brand/model tell them that, stick to your guns and get their best price.

Having said all that, I spent about £3K on kitchen appliances last year and ended up buying from DR Electric in Carryduff. Found them easier to deal with than Donaghy's and they had exactly what I wanted (mainly Bosch stuff). Highly recommended.

Don't overlook CS Suppliers, white goods are fairly competitive too. In fact any Euronics dealer are usually pretty keen to deal

sorry yes I forgot to mention Dixons too, and you get 3% discount through Quidco too
  • Dixons have great value on the black fridge freezer I want, £260 much £39 cheaper than the best I can see anywhere else. Thanks for all the tips.

I recently bought a tumble dryer and Dixons online was the cheapest by far. £50 cheaper than Sammy. Used Quidco for 3% back and also my tesco credit card for clubcard points. Delivered (via Currys) within 4 days and took away the packaging etc...
