Well done!! you are one step closer to being debt free :T

I know it is shocking at first isnt it, but rather confront it now than later! CAB are good and can point you in the right direction. But also posts our queries on MSE so that people who have been down this road can share their experiences with you, and may be able to offer you some advise.

Martins budget planner is really good as well, so make sure you check it out... ;)

What a great site for moral support this is, many thanks for all the words of encouragement, a little worried about the meeting with the CAB but guess that they are used to “problems” like mine. Thanks Again :T

Welcome, isgman. When is your appointment with the CAB? Have you also looked at the websites for the CCCS and National Debtline (links at top of page). With the help of that lot and this lot (plus determination on your own part, of course!) you will soon be starting your journey to being debt free. Do come back and let us know how you get on.

Might also be a good idea to post your incomings and outgoings on here.

This site has also been a tremendous help to me so much so that I've recommended it two other people I know. I've already made the first step in reducing one of my bill payments by £17 per month!

The next ones to tackle are moving credit cards with high APR to LOW APR!

It's great to be part of a community that want to help each other.

  • Don't expect miracles from CAB. I am not knocking CAB AT ALL. It's just that sometimes people think just by going to CAB everything will be sorted instantly and this is not the case. It will be a while before you get everything sorted and organised, but you WILL get it sorted and organised. I just don't want any feelings of despondency, or feeling down after CAB. It will be a hard slog, but you will be successful in the end. Good Luck.
