I was on page 114 of the old thread and found there were 114 pages in the new thread, then found there was another new thread with 6 more pages
  So many pages and so little time. Apologies to those I have not answered as I have had problems with my PC. It was nice to see on glancing through the old thread to see that my my word for the pink vouchers Pinkys is being used.:j :j
Well done Kitten for your lovely photograph and collection of bags. A girl can never have too many of them.
I haven't logged on since I last posted here, 14th August? As I am very distracted at the moment and not concentrating on Bootsing as I should.
I am awaiting results to find out whether or not I have secondary Breast cancer in my bones. It doesn't look much looking at that sentence but it's a heavy burden to carry at the moment both for me and my family.
Some days I am ok, while others I am not good at all. I am a very positive person, but its not easy trying to stay positive all the time.
There are a few lovely ladies on here who know and have been a big help to me. But maybe you will understand why I haven't been myself, or have kept disappearing these past 2 months or so.
This has been going on since early June, and I don't get my final results until early September. This is due to having to ring the hospital to my appt brought forward. I had to wait 4 weeks for that date.
Then I saw My Consultant and she ordered an ultrasound and I had to wait 4 weeks for that.
They found that I have an enlarged spleen (Whats that all about) I was referred for an urgent bone scan and they rang me with the date of that less than 2 days later.
So in total I only waited 5 days for my scan but I dont get the results for 4 weeks as my consultant is on holiday.
I have been throught this a couple of times before in the past ten years but it doesn't get any easier. I keep making the effort to post, but until I know whats happening I'm just not really here.
To the many newbies, who have come on board in the past weeks, welcome from one of the more mature members.
I noticed that in past weeks many photos have been posted and I must congraulate all the beauties who are on here, I am very impressed at all the stunning faces I have seen. I am way too old and wrinkly to even try to compete. :rotfl: :rotfl:
When I was young, 2 particular phrases used to puzzle/annoy me.
The first was 'Youth is wasted on the young'
The second was 'The wisdom of age'
i thought they were both a load of old tosh. Now I am older I understand and agree with them, particularly on one aspect, and it is this:-
When we are young we will always find faults with ourselves, whether it is our hair, out skin, our nose, our bum/weight etc.
But with the wisdom of age, I found that I was never so beautiful as when I was young.
I never appreciated the wonderful smooth skin, or the sparkling eyes, or the glossy hair. Neither did I appreciate the healthy vitality in my every step. I never stopped to think when I bent to pick up my babies, or carried them on my hip, that one day those bones would be old and brittle and I wouldn't be able to kneel any more.
And I am sure neither do you, what I am trying to say very clumsily to all you beautiful women is enjoy your youth and beauty while it is still there to enjoy and don't worry about the little things.
Polls,
I'm sat here with tears in my eyes, yet a smile on my face. We have not spoke personally a lot, but I wanted to take the opportunity to say I think you are a truly beautiful person, inside and out. Since I have joined this thread I have witnessed you be supportive to old and new memebers alike, and I know that you have helped certain individuals a great deal privately.
This often makes it a pleasure to read your posts. I am sorry to hear of your news, sometimes it confuses me as to why it is often the nicest of people who are often dealt the hardest cards. I will be keeping you in my thoughts, and wishing you all the happiness I can.
Youth is not often all it appears, and I agree that we should all worry a little less and live a little more. However, with age comes a clarity that makes us value more what we have, and value others as they deserve to be valued.
And this is how I think of you, as one of life's true helpers, be it a kind word, a joke, or an offer of help - you display a lot of qualities we should all hope to one day have, the qualities which should be valued more than youth or beauty.
*big hugs*

First of all sorry to hear of your problems polls
The black ruby and millie bags and smaller cream ones are free at the moment with the pinkie...knows someone posted piccies, but i'm lost who lol...ideally like one of both for my mum
The last extensions I wanted in black/brown for her ...typically only one she gets on with! Free again with the pinkys
Nightmare trying to get anything in my local and I need to get my mum one of every type of make up including brushes etc, pluis all skin, body and hair care for when she comes over from cyprus lol. Will buy her some cheapy socks/night wear etc so she only needs to bring over her basic clothes and undies as can not bare the thought of her carrying lots of stuff if she is not well.
Guess make up bags not essential as could just pop in a basket at home, but she will be visiting other people and traveling etc so will be nice and handy really0 -
Hope all goes well for you Polls, take care!mouthscradle wrote: »So the best shop I did today was 2 No 7 SPF 8 (original price £12 but half price and bogof) and 2 No 7 Tan Maintainer (original price £10 but half price and bogof) and No 7 GWP. Paid at SS and used a pinky and a SS version of the pinky (different barcodes). Total to pay £2 :rotfl:
Are you saying you used a pinky and a No7 tillspit type and both scanned with no beeps so £10 of?
Thanks just I have one each left, the tills in Meadowhall give the till spit No7 when other local Boots I've been to give the pinkies! TIA0 -

Yes that's it exactlySS tills print out a tillspit type No 7 voucher and normal tills give a pink one, and they have different barcodes so if you pay at an SS till (and so no mean SA to refuse it) you can use both and get £10 off :T
Some lovely person mentioned it in the old topic and I decided to be uncharacteristicly brave today and try it lol, worked fine no beeps at allHTH
Nice to see fellow Sheffielders on here(I am only visiting family in Brum)

Gosh, going mad...reason I popped on was not to beg lol...if anyone needs mag vouchers including model me, then pm me0

I think I have found out why so many people are posting saying that they've been charged more than 1p for their TS shop...
On post 1 it saysTS is currently on 2 for £7 and if you use the voucher from the mag to get a free product you can get 2 products for as little s 1p.
TS Long Hair Shampoo + TS serum 1p to pay
TS long Hair Shampoo + TS Rejuv condit £1.01 to pay
and I tried this shop 3 times today but each time I was charged £2.51 for the two items (not complaining cos it's still a bargain!) even though I tried one LH Shampoo or Conditioner and another TS item of various values.
But tonight I saw someone say that the LH item has to be the £6.99 serum to make this work at 1p. Post 1 implies that the LH item can be the shampoo (or conditioner etc) which is only £4.49 or so, so this is what I was doing. I bought one LH shampoo each time and then any other TS item.
Is this where I went wrong?Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.
