Subsidised Energy Saving Bulbs

Philips and Megaman are subsidising a new range of low energy bulbs which are exactly the same as their full price equivalents.
Megaman Ultra Compact Candle Bulbs normally cost around £6-£7, but on this promotion, they are £1.69 each plus shippping.
I bought mine from Lamps2udirect, but several other retailers are running the promotion.
It looks like a good buy to me and I can't find any difference between these and the more expensive ones.

these bulbs from Megaman say that they are the new economy range, does any one know if there is any difference between these and the ultra compact candle bulbs (just bought 2 of these today from b&q at £6 a go) as need to check size really to make sure they fit the light fittings/shades that we have.
If they are might just order some (need 7 in total) and maybe a little naughty and take the 2 I bought today back to b&q
thanks

I originally bought the more expensive ones from B&Q but took them back when I saw this deal.
They are identical in every respect to the more expensive ones, even down to the model number.0 -
Do they come in higher wattage?0

The Ultra Compact Candle bulbs are available in 5W, 7W and 9W. Check the link for the other variants.0

have just had an email from the company who have told me that some of these bulbs are slightly different sizes to the original by a few mm, need to compare with original site0
