Our local Tesco Extra (Baldock, North Hertfordshire) had 10 packs of AA-size Raymax Long Life Alkaline batteries for 47p yesterday (that's 4.7p per battery, whereas Duracells are around 50p each).
(Also, lots of very good value £1 packs - e.g., 5 DVD-R disks for £1, 150 hair bands for £1).

Packs of 10 AA batteries (raymax) have been reduced to 47p. handy for xmas the expiry date on mine is 09/2008.:D0

Picked up a tub of Hagan Dasz 500ml for £1.00. Its the cherry brownie flavour which is reduced. Not bad for £1.00
