I use Tesco Five Ways and have never found any real bargains!!!

Antibacterial handwashes still around (27p ones) - bumped into a shelf full at Tesco Sheldon (Birmingham). Shelf fell into my trolley!!!!:j Then had problem at till - they said I could only buy 5 :mad: - eventually let me have the lot (25 - some for me, uncle and mother in law).

What is the problem buying 25? Do they think I am going to set up a corner shop selling handwash?

Possibly! Some small retailers (I've heard) do buy in the supermarkets on mega cheap deals....

I think this is more to do with letting other customers get in on the bargains I think - this was only handwash, but the principle is there so that when there is a good bargain, the first customer through the door doesn't clear the shelf.

wow...some great bargains you lot have found. i'm at Tesco every week and not seen anything....:(

sorry not read the whole thread but are they on a shelf somewhere togeather marked as clearance, and freezer items are they?

They are usually mixed up in the normal place you would find the item - eg the healthy living sundaes were in the ice cream freezer. Usually you can spot if your store had them by the empty shelf!

Seriously though, not all stores will have them (eg the pototo head crisps for 26p for a 6 pack a while back I only found in one store out of about the 6 I visit), but it just gives you the heads up on what to look out for why you're there.
