Prize draw terms & conditions

1. This prize draw is open to all first direct 1st Account holders, except employees of the HSBC Group, their families, agencies or anyone professionally connected with the draw. Offer excludes Channel Islands and non-UK addresses.

1. You will automatically be entered into the prize draw if you apply for first direct Life Insurance or obtain a quotation for first direct Home Insurance, Car Insurance or Single Trip Travel Insurance between 1 August and 30 September 2008 inclusive. You will also be entered into the prize draw if you provide first direct with your Home or Car Insurance renewal dates between 1 August and 30 September 2008 inclusive. Does this mean you don't have to be a 1st Account holder?

1. You will be entered into the draw each time you obtain a quotation for a qualifying General Insurance product or provide a Home Insurance or Car Insurance renewal date between the above dates.
2. The prize will be awarded to the entrant whose name is drawn on 17 October 2008. The draw will be made by an independent person. The winner will be contacted by telephone no later than 24 October 2008.
3. The prize is £5,000 paid into the winner's 1st Account within 30 days after 24 October 2008.
4. The winner's name and postal district/county will be available from first direct when you write to, Car Insurance Quotation prize draw, Marketing, first direct, 40 Wakefield Road, Leeds LS98 1FD after 24 October 2008. Please mark your request ‘Car Insurance Quotation prize draw’ and enclose an SAE.
5. first direct reserve the right to feature the winner’s name and postal district/county in future promotions.
6. No correspondence will be entered into. The decision of first direct will be final.
