Tried to use the Daily Mirror free Uncle Bens and got told I could use it by SA in CO-OP- went to till and tried to use it but got told as the sauce sold for 1.65 and the voucher was only worth 1.49 I would have to pay the difference. Was not a happy bunny as it was the same SA- they could have said no they wouldn't accept it or that I had to pay the difference before I got to the checkout. I argued with them and they gave me the price of the newspaper back (twice as I had bought 2) which was more than the difference. Anyone know whether I should have paid the difference or whether I was right?Making my money go further with MSE :j

i think it must depend on store i used it in co op and didnt buy anything elsethe sauce was priced at 1.55 but she took coupon wrote 1.55 on it and put it in till free sauce. i prob would of paid difference but we use uncle bens s&s anyway so was still a saving for me.

I did even better.
I was going to ASDA anyway so thought I'd get my UB S&S from there.
Theirs is also £1.42 (for the 500g jar - as per the coupon),
.... however they also have the 750g jar for just £1.43 ... :cool:
... AND ALSO ON OFFER - TWO for £2.50 .... :cool::rotfl:
Now I didn't read the coupon small print did I ?
I didn't see there were 2 sizes on the shelves did I ? (Actually there were 3)
So picked up two 750g jars from the HUGE promotional display and handed in 2 coupons.
So that's 1500g of S&S for NOWT ... AND ... 48p off my other shopping.Back tomorrow - I've got another 8 coupons. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
