Question for Toothsmith

Hello
I broke a tooth a couple of months ago, had a white filling in it. It's never been right, now it's wobbling and needs looking at.
Trouble is since then I've had a stroke caused by a carotid artery dissection, there's still a clot in my neck and I'm on warfarin(which is just settling down).
So I'm twitchy and I guess my dentist will be as well. Would you expect him to be happy to treat me, do you think I'd need to stop warfarin prior to treatment? Your views will be much appreciated!;)

The dentist should take a full medical history, and will be able to make adjustments in the way he/she does things in order to treat you safely.

Don't do or stop anything until you're told to do so.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

when patients are on warfarin, i think they have to check their ir levels before they have treatment.

I'm having my INR done every few days so I'll know it. So i guess the dentist wouldn't want it to be too high?

True - if extractions are required - but it's up to the dentist to suggest this if necessary
