is it possible to pay off a loan with a credit card?

I think you can pay it however you want.
Is this for a BT? as you need to be sure that this will be counted as a BT and not as a purchase0 -
I disagree - not many places will take a credit card for paying off a loan, unless you do a super balance transfer to your current account and pay it off from there.0

yes i was hoping to do balance transfers but im not too sure its allowed

I worked for Lloyds TSB and unfortunately they couldn't take a credit card payment.
They basically classed it as 'paying off credit with credit' and didn't allow it.
Of course, a balance transfer from your CC into a bank account is fine.0
