I think you also have a right to see your scoring for his selection process for redundancy, if he hasn't carried out an exercise to decide how to select the person for redundancy he is in big diffs, you can also argue over his scoring

    Hi
It should be the job that is made redundant not the person; so if he is spreading the work around then the job is not redundant.

You need professional advice on this one, can you call a solicitor and ask for advice on the phone?

seatzie is correct. When being made redundant your employer is duty bound to consult with you. They must (and you can insist) on seeing the criteria they used in selecting you for redundancy. If you feel they have not used the correct criteria or applied in wrongly in your case you may have a case of redundancy due to unfair selection. Your employer should also be offering you any jobs coming up in the company.

This is what happened to me and I won my case, they reward was not that great in money terms, but that was not the point in me taking my case, I wanted to let my then employers know that they could not treat people in this way.

Best of luck with this one please let us know how you get on.

What a distressing situation! There is still widespread discrimination against women unfortunately. I hope you get some redress. You'll have to weigh up the potential gains against the stress (and possibly the cost) of fighting this.
I'm guessing that you're not in a trade union. If you are go to them. They have the experience and resources to deal with this kind of issue.
