First Direct - Mortgage

I have just taken out a mortgage with First Direct (I am an existing customer) they have sent me a text saying the mortgage will take 10-12 weeks. Has anyone else out the taken out a mortgage recently with First Direct? How long did yours take?

Hi,
From what I've read (and my own experience) they are happening a lot quicker than this.
There are a number of post you will find if you use the search facility but my feeling is that they are being on the safe side by telling you 10-12.0
