Any good offers for HDTV's

Hi there,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I am in desperate need for a new TV as old one has broken:mad: I am looking for something in the region of 40-42". Unsure wether to go for LCD or Plasma and am wondering if anyone has seen any good offers this for weekend so I can snap up a bargain:money: Forgot to say would prefer a 1080p version aswell....hope I'm not asking for too much (budget under £1000!!!)

They are not 1080p, but the advice everywhere is that no-one is broadcasting in 1080p anyway0 -

Where it states 1080p certainly should matter when choosing a new tv . It may not be a deal breaker but should definately be considered .0 -
Sainsburys had a good deal on Sony Bravia's today 349.99 for a 26in HD deal... They also have the inspiRED range which had the same spec for 2990
