Those of you into the blogging and 2.0 scene may have heard that Twitter have stopped providing SMS services to the UK (amongst other countries).
There's now a third party site for getting SMS updates from Twitter. It's not free (5p an update ), but as it's new you get some free credit for signing up.

This is a very simple-to-use prepay service that allows you to follow the friends of your choice on the mobile phone of your choice via SMS, and it’s now live.
