The Competition Details:
The competition will take place from the 15th April and run until the 20th August 2008. Weekly prizes will still be available to win until the 29th October 2008
- Entrants must register online at www.icemycar.com to take part in the competition and if selected will be sent a prize to the registered address.
- Entrants must register online to take part in the competition and if selected as one of the overall winners will be allocated a specific date during which, subject to complying with the rules set out below, they/their vehicle will participate in a commercial advertorial shoot to appear in BBC Top Gear magazine. Costs of vehicle being delivered to the studio shoot location are to be covered by the winner. Reasonable expenses will be covered by Turtle Wax.
Rules:
- Entrants must be over 17 years of age; hold a valid current driving licence; and must not be, or have ever been disqualified from driving
- Entrants will be required, if chosen as one of the three finalists, to supply the vehicle to the UK studio shoot location.
- Images will be posted on-line at https://www.icemycar.com at the promoter's sole discretion. Images deemed inappropriate of poor resolution will not appear.
- This competition is not open to employees of Turtle Wax or any company involved in the competition, or production of the Event, or any advertising or media agency involved in promoting the Event or any such person's subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households.
- By entering the competition each entrant warrants that all information submitted by him/her is true, current and complete.
- By entering the competition each entrant warrants that he/she is eligible to enter the Competition and shall comply with the rules set out in these terms and conditions.
- Entrants warrant that their entries do not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any personal or proprietary rights of any third party.
- Turtle Wax and/or BBC Worldwide reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if they have reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
- In the event that an entrant is disqualified from the competition, Turtle Wax in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, that another entrant is selected, the same criteria shall apply.
- No purchase necessary.
- Turtle Wax reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
- A full Police check will be carried on the winner to ensure the image/vehicle/information supplied is correct.
- By entering the competition each entrant warrants that he/she is eligible to enter the competition and shall comply with the rules set out in these terms and conditions.
Winners:
- Entrants will be judged on-line according to the promoters criteria
- The panels' decision is final.
Prizes:
- There will be 5 winners per week each receiving an ICE cleaning pack. Registration on-line is required to be eligible for the prizes. Only 3 winners will be entitled to claim the grand prize.
- The weekly prize is Turtle Wax 'Ice' car care packs and the Grand prize is Turtle Wax cleaning products + their vehicle featured in a Top Gear/Turtle Wax commercial advertorial shoot + 3 places and guest on the PalmerSport driving day at Bedford Autodrome on a date to be specified in October 2008 by the promoter Turtle Wax.
- The Prize will include meals provided during the 1 day photo shoot (Location TBC), and reasonable travel costs up to a total value of £150 per person. All additional insurances, taxes, transfers, spending money and other expenses are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
- Details of winners will be provided upon request.
- The grand prize winners will be notified on or around the 20th August 2008 and a prize notification will be sent by post/email within 14 days. Failure to reply to the Prize Notification within the time stated therein may result in disqualification and selection of an alternative winner.
- Winner's names/vehicles may be displayed on the https://www.icemycar.com website and Turtle Wax website.
- Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Turtle Wax reserves the right to substitute prizes of an equal or greater value at any time.
- The Prizes must be collected within the time frames specified in the prize notification or they are forfeited.
- Prizes are awarded at Turtle Wax's discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
- Turtle Wax reserves the right to request written proof of age of any winner.
Data Protection & Publicity:
- Winners will be required to take part in promotional activity for Turtle Wax, BBC Top Gear Magazine and Turtle Wax reserves the right to use the names and county of residence of Winners, their photographs and or visual recordings of them in any publicity.
- Turtle Wax also reserves the right to use photographs and or visual recordings of the entrants undertaking the various activities comprised in the competition.
- Any submitted entries become the property of Top Gear Magazine and as such, Top Gear Magazine reserves the right to use the entries in its sole discretion.
- Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with the current UK Data Protection legislation and will not be disclosed to any third party without the entrant's prior consent, save as necessary to arrange the Prize.
