    Suspect it's that £36k worth of repayments will have been made (36 times the monthly repayment figure), as that would work out about right. Apologies to Dan if I'm wrong.
  • Yeah sorry thats the amount of interest i have paid off if you look at it that way.. not capital. The term is 35 years.

    My house is a lovely little 3 bed detached with a front and back garden/garage and front driveway. Its a new build in the heart of Devon (not that that makes much difference). The semidetached houses in the area have been going for no less than 180k.

    all in all I'm bracing myself for a 100-£200 increase in payments.

    Any other thoughts anyone??? hum?.... well?
