have my jam maker - help!

right so, i have my lovely new tefal jam maker, i have never ever made jam before and didnt fancy making any jam last night from the booklet! so, i decided to make apple and blackberry but, to be honest the rubber i have in the jars from my attempt wont pass as jam!!

does anyone have any reciepes i can use in the jam maker that arent designed for 10-15 pots of jam - i am a total novice and now realize my error seems to be pectin in the fruit and not needing so much added etc

I do find the book hard to navigate as people have commented on, but you can only do a small amount at a time (which is fine) but there must be more recipes out there than the ones given in the booklet.
i could half receipes i find but would they work correctly in the machine?

anyone help if i havent embarressed myself too much already !!

thanks in advance

I have never heard of a jam maker. It is so easy just to do jam in small quantities in a jam pan. Where did you get your jam maker from? I am intrigued.

You can still use the recipes from your book... just use a half or quarter or whatever of all the ingredients to make a smaller amount.

You should be able to salvage the rubber jam... just shove it back in the pan, reheat it and add more fruit + sugar.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!
