ideas needed for quick toddler friendly slow cooker recipes

Hi everyone after all the tips ive read on here i know theres bound to be people that have answers to this.... The situation is i start work full time for the first time in ages and i will be travelling by bus 90mins each way. My boyfriend who has never had to cook for himself(only been together 6 months) has offered to pick kids(age 4 and 2) up from childminders and school and bring them home for tea. However to him this is a very scary thought. He cannot do a fried egg. He is willing to learn but i would also like to make things a little easier and make a few things in the slowcooker before I go to work. However I wont have much time to prepare much. Any toddler friendly recipes???

  • how about making a big batch of spag bol sauce ? then it can be dished up & served with pasta or some mashed potato (like a shepherds pie)

also left overs can be frozen down for another time

As I type i have 3lbs mince in my SC will use some for dinner tonight & freeze the rest down in portions for the 4 of us
