Update

Hi all
Thought i would give you all a quick update.
Still not BR ( been trying since about march )
Bump is slowly growing ( baby due around feb )
Still fighting DFD for our cert of non compliance so we can go BR.
To be honest its all gone a bit quite, no more nasty phone calls, letters, no nothing!!! Not sure what there game plan is!!!!!!
Got some legal aid who are trying to get this cert from them and who have told them to only contact them or us in writing.
Think they are just ignoring us, so we are still in limbo but at least we have been able to catch up with the council tax and mortgage.
I dont think we will go BR this year ( strange how we are looking farward to doing this!!! ) unless the people who know can get this cert from DFD!!!!

We have both stopped stressing about it now and are a bit more chilled!!
Is this the quite before the storm !!!!

Ah well! The creditors are not going to get their cash one way or another, so its pathetic they are dragging it out.

Have you actually spoken to your local court to see if you have to have the cert? Some do and some don't it appears.

Yeah thats good advice from Skylight and maybe tell the court the trouble you have been having.

Its a shame that if they dont give the cert on asking that you cannot somehow make them pay for the BR

  • Sorry thick question, whats a cert of non compliance and DFD?

Wonder if it'd be a prospective problem for myself.

DFD are bloOdy sharks of an IVA company :mad: ie: Debt Free Direct :mad::mad:

A certificate of non compliance is something that tells the courts that your IVA has failed. Some courts want them and some don't. There was a thread about them a little while back. Give your court a ring and ask if they need one if you have a failed IVA.

Tell me about it Zoe. I was unfortunatly drawn into there lair for a while. I was lucky I managed to get a CONC after about six months of toing and froing and arguing. I threatened to go to the OFT, Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman and they finally sent it.
