Morning everyone
Hoping for a NSD today, resisted buying a coffee on the way to work, really wanted one!
Just a quick question, forgive me if it's a daft one. Do you have to include things you'd already budgeted for, like petrol for example. So if I budgeted £15 petrol for the week, but spent £20 because I'd been out gallivanting, I'd only own up to the extra £5 - Still with me??Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Piquant - the beauty about this thread is that you can include what you want - budgetted or unbudgetted. Simply state whether it is budgetted or not - for example 'spent £10 on meat (budgetted £12)' or 'spent £10 on haircut (only budgeted £6)'. It helps you to keep track of how things are going compared to 'budget'.
Personally, I tend, mainly - but not always, to concentrate on 'unbudgeted spends' as mrs rog2 holds the purse strings and tends to look after the 'budgeted' shopping - and very well too, I hasten to add (in case she is 'lurking')
Hope that makes sense.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Hi PaP - enjoy your 'day off'. I'm preparing for my interview tomorrow as I'm getting too many 'days off' at the moment. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Thanks Rog2, that helps

Gosh people would be bored with my first of the month entry otherwise, listing my endless direct debits, not to mention the weekly shop....:rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Piquant, as Rog has explained, use this thread however you want. I tend to 'declare' everything, even the direct debits that are budgeted for. Hope everyone has a nice evening x 0 -
