good rate or not great?!?

:eek: can someone answer this - i am reading more and more and still dont know if this deal is good - is 6.19% on a two year tracker mortgage a good deal?
help!!!!!!!!!!

    It depends what the fees are.

    Is 2.99% a good rate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea. Problem with posting the 6.19% rate is that there are more factors than the headline rate. As mike said, the fee could be 1p or it could be £2,000. You may have a £40,000 mortgage or a £400,000 mortgage. You need to elaborate.

    OK I'll give you that. There's an arrangement fee of twice the amount you want to borrow from me though, and the fees need to be paid up front.

    The 2.99% was a flippant comment, but I would flippantly take it myself if is was on offer (and I'd seriously consider paying my ERC to get it as well!!!!)
