Hi el nino
Am taking this alongside your other post about CCJs and Defaults
There is no way to magically repair your credit 'score' and these will stay on your file for 6 years from the date you got them.
How old are the CCJs and the Defaults? Are they satisfied? If they are a fair while old then you could get a card at a rubbish interest rate and spend on it but only if you can, will and do pay it ALL off every month, then your rating will slowly repair over time. BUT if the CCJ etc is more recent then it will be a while until this will be effective.
Companies don't take account of credit scores but have their own systems for calculating borrower suitability. If you apply for products that are designed for people with decent credit histories then you will get turned down and too many applications in a short period of time will comtinue to damage your 'score'.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
