M&S Giftcard Voucher dilemma

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this on but here goes.
I was given a £50 giftcard voucher by my boyfriend the other day from M&S for the simple reason he has never seen anything in there he wants to buy..... strange man!
Anyhow I never realised how much was on it until the other day and feel bad that it's now mine to spend however I like.
His birthday is coming up and he wants a digital camera and has one in particular in mind. My local M&S is huge and does sell cameras but not that particular one.
My budget for his birthday is £100 but with the voucher I have £150 if I find something in M&S.
I have seen a camera in there but am worried he has his heart set on the other.
So if I buy something in M&S for £50 plus and then get a refund, I'm guessing I'll get money back on a card even if I have a receipt. Anyway around this? If I got the £50 cash I'd then be able to buy the camera he really wants.

The only other way is to sell the card to someone for cash. Do you know anyone who buys a lot there who would buy it off you?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Or, you could sell it on ebay. They seem to sell for quite close to their value.

Thanks guys, I knew I should have learned how to use ebay!
I'll try an email around my office, might have some luck there.
Think of all the sarnies they could get!0
