Becoming a stylist...

Hi, like most people i really want to up my income. I was thinking today about being a stylist. Ive done fashion at college and am pretty good at this kind of thing. I dont know how it would work, what to charge, where to advertise etc...can anyone help with this?

There is a good website for careers in the design and fashion idustry: http://www.arts.ac.uk/student/careers/creative-opportunities.htm
It is aimed at students, but anyone can apply for these placements/jobs.
Alot of the jobs advertised are mostly based in London, and I recall seeing a short 5 day course for stylists advertised recently.
I think if you wanted to start of locally, you could offer your services (for example) to charity fashion shows, or the local news paper fashion pages/column- to build up your name and create contacts.0 -
