Hi all,
can anyone advise on tax deduction after Bankruptsy. I had assumed that I would get a nil taxcode but the amount of tax deducted via PAYE would automatically be paid to the OR, is this the case?

No, its not automatically paid, you pay it to a company called Clarke Wilmot or something like that.

Any tax already paid will be taken care of.
Just make sure that when yo get a payslip with no tax deducted you keep that in a separate account as you will need to pay up on request.

I'm in the same boat as you, even posted about the same thing tonight!!!

I think it's a case of what others have said, but you shoudl get a letter from HM & Customs saying they've put you on a nill tax code, but then when it's actually done and paying C&W is another matter by the sounds of things!
