What mortgage for £47K

I am in the process of trying to re-mortgage due to having to take my ex of the deeds.
I owe £47,000 which isn't a lot in todays market really.
I have always had a variable rate but am wondering what is my best option.
Most of the fixed deals have high arrangement fees so would I really gain overall by taking one of them out?
Would I be better with another standard variable or a capped/discounted rate?

Depends, what's most important to you - overall value or lowest initial monthly payment?0
