Hi Cady
I use a dishwasher scoop (I got it from my old job as I was responsible for looking after the dishwashers:rolleyes: ), one scoop does me and I can manage to make a 3kg box last for a year. Think that the scoop size is the equivalent of a dessert spoon heaped.0 -
I think my scoop sounds about the same as Horace's. I use a mix of washing powder, soda crystals and Vanish. Most loads are 1-2 scoops.0

Hi thanks for the reply what does everyone else use i will try to find a dihwasher scoop but dont have one at the moment will check my mams as she has a dish washer she never uses so will see if i can steal one lol0

I was using tablets, if not a full wash and not too dirty 1/2 a tablet, full load or realy dirty 1 whole tablet, might even add a few soda crystals as well.
Most of time, stains are gone.
Gone on to liquid, as can buy `value`0 -

My scoop is about a tablespoon but I use two for whites or more heavily soiled loads. Sounds egg cup rather than yogurt pot!0 -
Tip from washing machine repair man - whatever it says on the box, halve it!! If you can see a lot of bubbles then you're definitely using too much!0

We are in a relatively hard water area, but use about half the recommended amount of detergent plus about 2 tablespoonfuls of soda and vinegar as softener.0
