I want to be debt free

My Debts
As above, there is a list of my debts which are accurate to my best knowledge.
I'm currently claiming back charges from Capital One and Vanquis hence the column called "Refunds"
I am currently out of work at the moment, so not entirely sure on how i'm going pay a lot of these back, is there any quick fire ways of reducing these debts at all?
Any input would be great.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy
Please post your SOA so we can see what you have coming in and what is going out:

When we have a clearer picture we will be able to suggest ways of cutting back.0 -
HI Andy
It would be a good idea to fill out a SOA (statement of affairs) so that we can see exactly what your income and outgoings look like.
http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
Its also a good idea to find out the APRs of your debts and maybe you could put them into the snowball calculator
http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx
It can show you how long and roughly what the best way to pay off your debt is.
you could also contact one of the debt charities: CCCS (www.cccs.co.uk) or National Debtline (www.nationaldebtline.co.uk).
I dont think there are many quick ways to get rid of debt, but have you tried getting a second job? That could help. Or possibly ebaying/selling all the clothes/items you dont need/use anymore? Bootfairs etc.
Hope this helps.

Andy im sorry to hear about this. Are you aware of the benefits you can claim? might be worth looking into.
I would also strongly suggest calling one of the free debt charties.

Andy, get yourself onto the job centre plus website and contact the new claims line and they will take you through the process and tell you if you are entitled to anything and if so what, I did this yesterday after months of procrastinating, any income is income.
After that I would suggest contacting a debt charity as you need to take control of it, no one else can do it for you.
Even if it gets you nowhere at least you have information to start making informed decisions.
Regarding the back problems and arthritis I take it the doctor will support you on this and this will help with finding a job you are able to doReal Men Do Cry - Even This Scotsman

I would definately contact CCCS to get a Debt Management Plan (DMP) set up. Are you in Scotland or England?
They will help you to contact your creditors and offer them payments based on your income. If you are not making any payments right now, you should send each a token payment of £1 stating that you are contacting CCCS to set up a DMP. Hopefully they will also be able to get your creditors to stop interest charges. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
