Hi

Has anyone come across **This link is selling software not even officially released by Microsoft yet, so i think we can consider it illegal - Edited by Abuse Controller ** ?

Have a look at their prices for downloadable software - I appreciate that this method of software delivery may be cheaper - But could it be this cheap?  e.g. Microsoft Office 2003 Professional for $69.95 ???

I am very tempted but maybe it's just a scam - I am a little reluctant to enter my credit card details.  They talk about a "60 day money back guarantee" and then go on to say all you have to do is contact their Customer Services Dept. However, I can't find any details on the website about how you might contact their CS Dept.

If it's real it would be great but I am inclined to be cautious - Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences?

    Its 'cheap' cos its selling unlicenced, and plainly illegal, copies.
  • Yeh, they have MS Longhorn, I dont believe this has been released.

    There are penty of ways to download unlicensed pieces of software without paying for them.

    //Edit - I wish I could speeel

    The sites sitting on a server in Russia, although, for some reason, I was probed from Hungary at a very relevant moment.
    Site is non-secure, no encryption on the site, so your credit card details are wide open.
    So do you really want to send credit card details to an unknown person in Russia?
  • Thanks for the comments and No, I don't think I do want to send my credit card details to an unsecure site in Russia.

    I guess I was just being naive to even consider that it may be genuine. I suppose it's worth remembering the old adage....

    ...... If it sounds too good to be true......etc. etc.
