chocolate wrappers......

Options
hi there

My mum knew someone who designed chocolate wrappers for people to make extra cash, on ebay. she would but cheap chocolate from aldi etc and then print off her own wrappers, for weddings, christenings, new baby, birthdays etc etc.

She apparently had software to do this...anyone have any ideas??? mum has no way of contacting her for me to ask....I am going to attempt this to try to boost my income so that I dont have to return to work so many hours after my maternity leave expires!

ALSO....and other money making ideas would be gratefully received....have already considered ironing, ann summers/body shop parties etc and catalogues ie avon/kleeneze....and these are not for me....homwworking is what I need otherwise it defeats the object, i have read other threads for ideas too....

thank you guys.

  • Hi Kirstie, could your partner or your mum look after the baby so you could do parties evenings or weekends? What are your job skills - you could look at odesk, getafreelancer etc.

There was a thread about a company which did this, but you had to pay a lot of money for the starter pack. It contained chocolate, wrappers, software etc, but I didn't think it was worth the money and suggested the OP do it on their own.

I reckon all you need is good paper, a good printer and good graphics software.

If you have the software you could try designing your own wrappers to see how it goes. You'd just need to print them on ordinary paper until you get the designs right. Once this is done you can take things further by buying suitable paper etc.

Have you joined DooYoo, you get Amazon vouchers for writing reviews, or you could wait until you accumulate enough DooYoo miles to redeem for £50.00. There is a separate DooYoo thread.

You can do it on photo shop/Psp type program. I did them as cheapo wedding favors wrapped around mini fruit pastels.
