Should I still be recieving

DCA demands from nPower?

And is it normal for banks (IE the ones you owe money to!) to keep sending monthly statements? Halifax keep sending them - complete with more interest charges. I am just filing them.

nPower can go jump in a silo.

Just wondered. Not in the slightest bit worried - literally just wondered if it was the norm. I know they have all been informed 'cos poor old Capital One sent me pages of gobbledygook.

  • No Npower should not if it was a debt that was in your BR, have you sent a copy of you BR to Npower, and the DCA?

As for the bank, they freeze activity on the accounts but dont always close them till just before discharge so getting statemants is nothing to worry about. Not sure how the OR would view them still adding charges though, if i where you i would let your OR know
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
  • If you are still with npower ask for a bill from the date of your BR showing usage from there and only pay that.

Hmm I agree with BAT, similar happened to me with Barclays it took them nearly 7mnths to close my account that was after adding £'s in charges even though the OR contacted them weekly to chase......and the funny thing? after barclays closed the account they offered me a basic account as i'd been a good customer!

    Thanks all.

I sent copies to all 3 creditors. Then the OR wrote to them. It was only 6 weeks ago I went Bankrupt. I think nPower are trying to pull a fast one!

Will contact the OR next week.

    Thank you again.

They can pull fast ones, as they kinow you've gone bankrupt and are trying to claw back anything they can. I'd advise to get the OR to deal with em.

I had problems still 8/10 wks after i went bc. I had a catalogue, with 2 accounts. One was for the normal 20 wks,the other over (i think) 50 wks. The debt got passed on to a DCA, who insisted on writing, calling ect about the one account(can not remember which one now)even asking for a copy of my bc. I never did send it:p . I posted all the bumf and a few details of the telephone conversations to the OR. Never heard from them again:j .
