I thought the Trustee was responsible now and not the OR ? ( he has had a creditors meeting and a Trustee has been appointed )

    Thank you

I take home approx £1500 a month ( depends on overtime)

    rent 395
maintenance 580 ( this is an informal arrangement at mo) Informal may not cut it with the OR. Depends on how many children this is for. You will also need to prove as its an informal arrangement, that the money is being paid directly to the childrens mother (guardian).
    water 15.80
    gas n electric 45
    council tax 80
    car insurance 28
mobile 30 ( on contract) Depends on OR whether you can keep it or not. How long is left running on the contract? You may be expected to go PAYG.
tv licence 22 May only let you have £12 as this £22 is only for 6 months - pay 6 months in advance I assume as its your first TV licence?
virgin 35 ( tv + phone + internet ) + phone calls ( usually pennies) I would mark this as PHONE only. You are not allowed TV and internet - not considered essential but most of us get away with it included.

thats my monthly outgoings bill wise

    then theres

    petrol 60
    food 100

then there are all sorts of other things like road tax, clothes, car maintenance etc ...

    You need to list everything.
    Clothes
    Road Tax
    MOT and Servicing
    Life Insurance
    Contents Insurance
Holidays and Xmas (not every OR allows this, but put some down)
    Union Subscriptions
    Dry Cleaning

The mobile contract runs til December but I am due an upgrade in October. I don't know whether this will be credit checked as I am an existing customer with 3.
Didn't tell the OR I had a mobile contract. yes about TV licence. but I assume I will have paid the first 6 months by the time he looks into all this. I pay child maintenance by Standing Order.

Also at work I have a corporate GYM membership at £22 a month out of my wages ???
And I would like to take out the health plan through work this is about £30 ( depending on level of cover required) would this be allowed ?
Where do I stand with pensions ? I have not joined our works pension but want to

If its an upgrade you shouldnt be credit checked...many members here have kept mobiles while BR
If the contact was not in debt then no reason to tell...although you should have noted it on your SOA some Or's alliow some will expect you to pay for it out of any surplus

You are permitted a pension - depending on the actual pension. A company one should be okay but you will only be permitted to put in the lowest amount at this stage. the OR will check.

Have no idea about the gym or health care.

    Another question if I may.

Lets assume the debts are written off, as I don't have enough money left over each month.
What would happen if my income increased? You see I could possibly change to night shift and with overtime I could increase my income by about 50% .

Thanks everyone you have been very helpful

You are obilged to inform the OR of any change in income within 21 days. If by the time you are discharged no IPA has been set up then your obligation ends there. If an IPA has been set up by the time of discharge you have to tell the OR of any income changes within 21 days for the 36mths.D

Yes I meant if my income is insufficient to set up an IPA, the debt is wiped, but then a few months down the line my income increases .

    Many thanks
