Why does this keep happening? Hot UK Deals...

Hi,

I just wanted to have a bit of a grumble and get feedback to see whether anyone else has experienced this...

Over the past week ive added two codes to Hot UK Deals for Screwfix so that I could share the savings I had made with others... only to find that within a few hours of posting my listing was removed! (my mate spotted it when i sent him a link to use it himself...)

I can see no reason why this would be the case.

The code gave 10% off £50 spend, plus it flagged that you get free delivery on orders over £50.. and I also stated that to get even more back you can go to Top Cash Back where they give 6% cashback. So all in all a really great deal!!!!!!

I posted last Thursday only to discover it had gone on the Friday (even though the deal was valid until Sunday). I did the same yesterday evening for a code that ends this Sunday, and once again it has been removed.

Any clues? I have heard that they favour Quidco, do you think its becuase the exit link went to Top Cash Back?

If so then thats hardly an impartial site doing the best for its users....

grrrr....

ThomJ

I am not sure but I think Quidco and HotUkDeals are linked and operated/owned by the same people.

So they won't like any postings directing users to a competing website which could take "customers" away from Quidco.

as JAG says - quidco and hotukdeals are run by the same person ultimately - so they won't like the affiliate links leading elsewhere.

to be honest, they don't really care whether it's a bargain or not - as long as they get the cashback (remember a lot of the users will use their link and get them cashback directly, the ones that go through quidco earn them money through the admin fee, and missing transactions etc)
