Wednesday 20/08/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:
  • update spreadsheets
  • check online banking
  • do clicks
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Storecupboard lunch and tea
  • Swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • Home grown veggies with tea
  • Sort paperwork , shred and add to compost bin
  • try and have a no spend day
Have a good day everyone, still raining here,
Bogged down with paperwork in office still, so boring day ahead:o

Hi to all the regulars:D :D:D and welcome to any new posters :hello: :hello: :hello:

    Today I
went to a different coffee shop! I know going to a coffee shop at all is bad DFW behaviour but I "need" it after the tube! Anyways, new coffee shop does same caffeine kick for 99p not £1.89 so practically half price! What a revelation in my little world!

have checked banking (bit worse than I thought but have debt cheques for £1,000 sitting on my desk to be sent as soon as it's payday)

    brought lunch to work

use freezer stash for dinner & tomorrows lunch

    will do clicks

WILL do ironing that I didn't do on Monday or last night because I couldn't be bothered went out

will try this washing at 30 & hang out to dry

work hard to avoid P45 which would really mess up money sorting!
    good day all!
