Payment Protection...

Hi, sorry if this should have been in the insurance forum.

Around 6 months ago me and my OH bought our first house.

When taking out our payment protection we took the aption for it to be 100% towards my job/wage as i work in the motor industry and my job was in doubt at the time.

Things passed over for a while but today i was told it was likely in the next 2 months i might be let go.

Now heres the problem, when i bought the house i worked for an agency doing exactly the same job (and the same pay) as i do now. I was then taken on by the company on a temporary 3 month rolling contract.

My mortgage payment is around £800 per month and from what i read it said i would be entitled to 133% of the mortgage payment.

My question is... will i have difficulty in claiming considering i was never technically a permenant employee... i read the T&C closely and all i could see on this was agreeing that there was no "impending threat of unemplyment" ... and there wasn't.. other than the fact i was only a temp!!!

Am i going to find this difficult... and advice or information would be welcomed!

Thanks in advance

different policies will have different rules ( lots of extra clasues about continuous work prior to policy commencement or prior to claim , plus about temp work - which may welkl be covered , but usually only after a confirmed time in post ) - so why not call the policy provider- and ask about a claim
