Are my GHD's genuine??

Hi guys, looking for soem advice,

I bought a pair of Pink GHD's from e bay a couple of months ago, they appeared genuine and came in the box and had a hologram tag on the wire and a hologram on the actual straighteners.

As I've been stopping away a lot lately, and they've been in and out of my bag the label on the cable got tatty and eventually fell off, I didn't think anything of it and threw it away.

I;ve been reading about fake GHD's that are about and decided to register mine with GHD. The problem I've got is that I threw the security label away, is the code on the hologram on the actual straighteners the same??
I;ve tried using this code but its not beng accepted!

Could someone with a genuine pair confirm whether ir not the codes are the same?

Many thanks

Ebay.. hm. Did you pay a realistic amount of money?
Was their feedback absolutely beyond reproach?

Ebay is full of fake GHDs :/

Thanks for your help, I've just called GHD who have told me that they are 'possiby not genuine' but I would have to send them off for them to look at to be sure.
I paid £95 for them and the e bayer seemed very genuine..I didn't go into it blindly I did research. I have contacted e bay now to see what they have to say!

its a real difficult one. they make the fakes so good these days you can buy the fakes ones for about 25 pounds now. but i cant imagine the ceramic plates to be the samer as ghd though. i have some real ones and the plastic side bits that cover up the screws fell off and the actual printing of ghd etc on the irons is rubbing off i dont even use them that much. i would take them to a ghd stockist if i was u and get a stylist to look at them, if they are fake you might be able to get ur money back through paypal x
  • One of our clients has some great information on how to spot counterfeit ghd stylers, you can see it here: http://www.agsalons.com/info/Are-My-ghd-stylers-genuine

Alternatively, ghd themselves have a lot of information on the subject here: http://www.ghdhair.com/dk/customer-care/counterfeit

Hope that helps (and you've got genuine ones!)
