Home made sweets - how soon before Xmas can I make them?

Hiya!

I plan to make Home made sweets for Xmas prezzies - how soon before Xmas can I make them for them still to be perfect at Xmas/New year?

I plan to do fudge, coconut ice, peppermint creams, choc truffles, etc. All have sugar, some have choc, some have condensed milk or cream or butter...

anything with cream in will last a week, maximum. you could freeze them and defrost them the day you're giving them.

fudge lasts for about a month, i think.

chocolate truffles and fudge, i would not make them more than two weeks in advance, so they last a bit longer after xmas.
the womens weekly christmas cooking book has some of these recipes in, it is quite a good book.
