Hi I need some advise, I entered a competition where you had to send two jokes to the above email address and if your joke was one of the winning ones you got an mp3 player.I entered a while ago and today got a reply saying I had come second and to ring a mobile number to confirm, I thought this was a bit odd but rang anyway. The person I got said he didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I emailed back and explained this and was told to text my details to that number. Now he is emailing me saying do you have MSN we should talk and putting kisses at the bottom of the emails. I did not text the deatils over and have no intention too. Has any one else had this problem.
Thanks

No - I haven't had this problem personally but I would say SCAM!!! (in a big loud voice!)
You shouldn't have to call a mobile number - and certainly shouldn't have to speak to someone on MSN to claim your prize.
This guy sounds like a wierdo & I would definitely cut all contact. The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word!

I can only suggest you block his emails and ignore any further texts/calls. It sounds very unpleasant. Personally I wouldn't chase the prize; doesn't sound worth the upset for an MP3 player.
Incidentally, I did have a genuine win recently where I had to call a mobile to confirm my details. It was from The Community Channel, so it might have been legit.
I hope you don't get any further hassle.Avoiding plastic, palm oil, UPF and Nestlé0 -
It sounds very dodgy to me !! Could be trying to set you up for an advance fee scam maybe
