Headset or Microphone for Laptop

I've got a laptop and am looking to buy a good but value for money headset to use for VoIP. Alternatively I could get a microphone only, but then I wouldn't be able to have private conversations if someone's in the vicinity.

If anyone knows where to get a headset or any other alternative for VoIP, I would appreciate it.

The other day in poundland I saw some headsets - £1 man u cannae complain!There were microphones too, I bought one of these to record my sisters luverly singing on, and it's great (had a jack converter too :O)

You cud try the quality of it at a pound i think its worth a shot
