Taking out a mortgage beyond retirement age

My mum is currently in rented accommodation and looking to take out a mortgage, but she is 56. I will be supporting my mum to get a 30% deposit in place, but is it likely that she will get accepted for a mortgage that will still be outstanding over the age of retirement? Is there any other support I can give her to help get this in place? I don't want to be a guarantor if this will affect what I may be entitled to borrow for a future house move. Urgently needing advice as we are ready to make an offer. Any advice welcome.

What term would she hoping to take the mortgage over? How would she make the repayments once she does retire?

Hello, we're not sure yet and just trying to establish if it is even possible to have a mortgage that runs on beyond retirement age or if the lenders will refuse point blank? My mum plans to work beyond retirement, but other than that the family would have to support her in some way, but not sure if that will be good enough for the banks to commit to 15-20yrs or if there are others ways that I can support her without impacting my own borrrowing level....0
