Selling cars from your doorstep

in Cutting tax
Hello
Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes...
A neighbour has been selling cars from outside his house for over a year now.
At any one time he has 4-5 cars parked outside which is causing parking problems.
Also I am quite sure he is not registed as a business so not paying any tax on the money he is making.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks

What sort of advice?
If the cars are all taxed/mot'd etc then them being on the road is just one of those things. What kind of problems - obstruction/illegal parking? If so try contacting the local council.
How do you know he is not registered as a business?
Is he a sole trader?
I suppose you could contact HMRC0 -

Some councils have made use of the law to prevent car dealers trading from home - see here -http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=10868210 -
Hi If he is selling cars on the road then speak to trading standards. Also talk to the planning office (he may need permission to run a business from home)Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

A man was fined recently for having a "For sale" notice in the window of his car.
The offence, apparently, was "offering goods for sale in a parking place" !0
