Redeeming nectar points

Hi
I have 11500 points and I wanted to get a couple of books and a magazine subscription, but when I used the loyalty calculator to convert the points into real money I am paying well over the amount for the books for example I can buy the book online for £13 but it's 4000 points for the book on Nectar which in real money is £21
Do I shut my eyes and just redeem anyway as it's not real money and will be saving me a few pounds?
Thank you
CrepeSuzette xx

No, use it for stuff like Sainsbury's or Argos shopping at the very least that you would be buying anyway and buy the book elsewhere online.
Those 4000 points would get you £20 of shopping but sometimes there are better offers available - last week I used 4000 points to get a £55 theatre ticket!0 -
I always use my nectar points at Vue, where you get a ticket for 1000 points - so that makes the 4000 points they're after worth (iirc) between 28 and 30 quid to me...0

Hi King of Fools
Thank you I'm glad I checked before redeeming my precious points, I'll be using the points for a Sainsbury's shop.
Thanks again

I'm in the process of changing my Nectar card, for the Platinum cashback card.
Once get the cashback, can spend where ya want.

I was relieved since I knew Santa wouldn’t lie to me ...0
