Paid for doing on line surveys???

Ive read a lot about getting paid for doing online surveys as a way of making extra money. Has anyone here actually done this or know about this? Ive googled it and its thrown up loads of websites, but surely its to good to be true? One I looked at was called Ciao. I'm a little wary about doing it incase its a scam so if anybody has or does do it, what are the best sites?

Ciao isn't a scam, but they do have a blooming cheek, and expect you to waste 20 minutes doing surveys that pay 10p. Not sure of any really good ones ...

I use lightspeed and have earned £10 of amazon vouchers so far. Dont expect to get rich quick, but if you are on a computer often its a nice little way to get a treat!

pigs back you earn points for looking at different offers you also earn points for shopping through there site. the points can be changed for a whole number of things it is great, but slow I have only manageded to earn 2.50
